My 10 Year High School Reunion!
10 years. Insane. Seriously, where the heck did those 10 years go? And since when am I in my upper twenties? Barf.
But, I am super excited. My friend Becky and I are driving home together today. Our boyfriends opted out of this one. Can’t really blame them, as it’ll be crazy catch up, gossip time with all of our girlfriends. Can’t wait!
I’m also excited to get home and see my parents and my sister and her family. It’s my sister’s birthday today – Happy Birthday, Erin! Love you!!
Oh, and can’t forget Maddux. He’s coming too.
Bringing the little stinker home so he can chase squirrels and chipmunks to his heart’s content. Last time I took him home to Iowa I snapped this picture of him playing with a fawn. Adorable. Oh, Iowa.
Have any of you gone to your high school reunions? Or are you planning to go when the time comes? My high school also had a 5 year reunion, which I went to and had a blast.
How fun is that! I can’t believe it’s 5 years for me. I dont think we have a 5 yr reunion but I don’t know if I’d ever go…it was rough the first time around – no burning desire to go relive it with a bunch of people I hardly knew and just a few close friends!

That picture of Maddux with the fawn is too adorable for words! Here in south Florida, something like that seems like it would only happen on another planet. I was 13 before I saw my first deer, and it wasn’t anywhere near my hometown.

Oh, yes my high school had a 5 AND 10 year reunion. Massive amounts of drinking and a good time were had at both. The upper 20′s are nothing! Much better than being, ahem, 30.

Crazy! I had my 5 year last year. It didn’t feel weird, because people from my high school still hang out and see each other out at bars.
I bet in 10 years it will feel different, though. But facebook has taken some of the mystery out of it– you kind of know what most people are doing and what they look like now!

Gah! My 10-year is sneaking up on me and it’s slightly terrifying… I went to the 5-year and had fun, but so many of my classmates stayed in the area and see each other all the time anyway and didn’t show up. So it was pretty small…

I’ll post about it later – but yeah same thing happened this weekend, there was a pretty low turnout. I know a lot of people still live there and didn’t even show up, which was kind of disappointing. I wanted to see everyone!
