Last night was Friendsgiving! A group of us got together for some pre-Thanksgiving festivities.
Our friend, Tom, did all the cooking. Same Tom that hosted the Ice Cream Tasting.
He not only has unlimited access to ice cream, but he’s also a fantastic cook. What a guy. Now if only he would take off that hideous sweatshirt…(Go Bears!)
We started with some beverages and appetizers.
Deviled Eggs and Spinach Balls.
Followed by salads.
Spinach, arugula, apple, cranberries, almonds, and a cranberry-balsamic dressing.
Then the main course.
Green Bean Casserole,
and Fruit Salad.
Plus gravy, rolls, and dessert. My vegetarian ass brought along homemade mushroom gravy and some kind of grain roast thing from the hot bar at Whole Foods (that everyone looked repulsed by, but it was really good). Half of the food was vegetarian anyway, so I had no problem finding things to stuff my face with. And it was all very delicious. Thanks, Tom!
I’m considering that my Thanksgiving warm-up. Now that my stomach’s nice and stretched out, I’m ready for Thursday’s eating marathon. Weeee!!!!
