Hey, all!
Life has been a little crazy lately, so blogging got put on the back burner for a bit. I’ve had several new things going on, including a totally new daily schedule, so that’s why I’ve been MIA from the blogging world (although, I’ve been keeping up with Twitter, so follow me there if you’re so inclined).
Here’s what’s new with me -
1. After working from home for a year, my coworkers and I were called back to the office. Our company acquired some more office space, so they decided to bring us back in. Although, the real reason (in my narcissistic opinion) is that everyone just really missed seeing my smiling face everyday
It’s been two weeks now and I’m pretty much back into the swing of things. I even brush my hair on a daily basis…something I couldn’t have said two weeks ago.
2. The same day I went back to working in the office, I also started morning workouts. I’m loving getting them in first thing in the morning. It’s nice being able to go straight home after work and have my entire evening free, especially with the warmer weather we’ve been having. I have to shower and get ready for work at the gym, but that all goes pretty smoothly because I make sure everything is packed and ready to go the night before.
3. I started studying to get my ACE group fitness instructor certification.

I had been thinking about getting this certification for a while and since I’m starting my instructor training for Farrell’s, I thought now would be as good a time as ever. Farrell’s has their own training program, so while this certification isn’t necessary for that, it will definitely be beneficial.
4. Speaking of Farrell’s instructor training, I start that this week.
5. Did you know I’m a Fitfluential Ambassador?
“FitFluential is a nationwide network of fitness enthusiasts sharing their journey both online and offline through multiple social media platforms.”
I was accepted a couple of months ago, but I just realized I never shared the news on here yet. If you follow me on Twitter, that’s what all my #fitfluential tweets are about! I’m happy and excited to be a part of this program as an ambassador. I’ve already been working with them on several opportunities, so you’ll be seeing more on this soon!
6. Totally unrelated to anything, but I made a baked pancake this morning and it was awesome. I followed this recipe for a Puffed Oven Pancake (I added vanilla and pumpkin pie seasoning). Total lazy girl’s pancake recipe. I actually went back to bed while it was baking. I’ll for sure be making it again – I want to try it with different kinds of flour and toppings. This time I topped it with banana slices and syrup.

Anyway, I’m hoping to get back to regular blogging this week! Hope you all had a great weekend!

I am so jealous. I seriously have wanted to do morning workouts my whole life. But I’m such a night owl that it’s really hard to imagine doing as I usually crawl into bed pretty late and have to be at my desk by 7:30 am. It honestly sounds so lovely to just get it over with (plus have more energy for the work day!) and hopefully one of these days, I’ll give it a whirl.
I hope you’re enjoying life back in the office. My Stepmom’s company decided to disband actual offices about a year and a half ago so she has a home office. We always laugh that she went from like black dresses every day downtown to never getting out of her workout clothes throughout the day. Just funny. I bet it’s an adjustment!
Congrats on all the fitness related things you are doing, that’s great and I want that pancake!

Yeah, I’ve had to make sure I’m in bed by 10pm these days or I’m a zombie the next day. It’s nice getting up early and getting them over with, but only if you can still get enough sleep!
Ugh, I SO wish I could still wear workout clothes all day every day. I was so spoiled during this last year. Not having to get dressed up or put together outfits was the best!
Wow so many new and awesome things happening with you! That’s gotto be quite a change from working from home to going into the office? Are pajamas off limits in your office? haha
Congrats on the ambassador AND the certification process..that’s AWESOME. I checked into doing FXB in LP but with me working nights, their class schedules don’t really work with mine
Which is a total bummer because I really want to do this! Do you know if they are going to be adding new times at all?

I think they will add more times eventually. The first 10 week session (the one I was in) only had 3 class times a day. Now with the second 10 week session there are 6 class times a day. Hopefully more to come!
Looks like you have had lots of changes come your way but they’re all good! I hope to see more of your regular posts soon!
I love early morning work outs too! I’ve only been getting in 2 a week, getting lazy to wake up, but I really want to try to get at least 3 in per week. It is so nice to go straight home after work!

Yeah, I’m still struggling to find time to blog, but I hope to get back into it soon enough here. So much going on right now. I’m thankful for the morning workouts, I think if I tried to do them in the afternoon these days I’d be apt to skip.
You made my chuckle about brushing your hair…so true if you work from home! I hear ya sister.
And what is that banana goodness? Holy crap!

That is a baked pancake – it is so good! I’m making another version of one right now!
Congrats on your Group Fitness instructor studying and on becoming a FitFluential ambassador!! Serious props!! Are you going to work in a Farrell gym when you complete your training? We don’t have Farrell here so I don’t really understand the concept… are they like LA Fitness, or more like a boot camp place?

Thanks! Yeah, I’ll be instructing at the Farrell’s gym I attend. It is more like a boot camp type gym.
