So I fell off the face of the earth, huh? My schedule’s been pretty jam-packed lately between work, gym, and fun stuff!
- I took on some new responsibilities at work and I’m studying for another work-related certification. I’m trying to cram in study time on my lunch break, on the el, at night, etc. I like the material that I’m studying, though so it isn’t too bad.
- I started instructing at FXB! I’m instructing resistance training classes a few times a week and I’m absolutely loving it. I was super nervous for my first class, but now that I’m used to it, I really look forward to getting up there. I’m currently going through kickboxing instructor training, so hopefully by June I’ll be instructing those classes as well.
- Any spare time outside of work/studying/instructing/working out, I’m spending outside. Chicago is just beautiful right now and I’m trying to enjoy every minute of this weather (probably the biggest reason for my lack of blog posts). I worked remotely today (to avoid going downtown during NATO), so this was my “office” for the afternoon. So nice.
On the agenda for the next couple of days: Beach, dog park, dinner/drinks on a restaurant patio, kickboxing training, & some studying (done outside!).
Right now I’m about to head out for a run with Ryan and Maddux. Have a great weekend!

Hello from another Chicagoan! I was actually downtown yesterday and had no problems with NATO. I was even hoping to see some protestors, but no such luck. You’re so lucky that you were able to work remotely though…the weather was beautiful!
Good for you girl. I am so thrilled at how you are able to balance between those tasks.

It happens. My posts are so few and far between lately. And they’re always photos of my dog.

Summer in Chicago is the best. So many patios, so little time.
That’s so awesome that you are a certified instructor now! Congrats!
