Saturday night cocktails w/ friends.
Sunday night babysitting. What is a Wookiee?
And I must give a special shout out to one of my very favorite places in Chicago: FXB Lincoln Park.
Happy 1st Birthday!!
One year ago today, I walked in the doors of FXB LP, completely clueless as to what I was getting into. In fact, I wrote a blog post about it (one of the benefits of having a blog – looking back!). Anyway, I ended up loving the program and completed my 10 weeks with great results. Since then, I have not only continued to work out there, but I became an instructor!
Over the last year of attending and instructing at FXB, I have met so many diverse, fun, and inspiring people. We are men & women of all different backgrounds, ages, and fitness levels. We are gym veterans and gym rookies. But together we are a team. We challenge each other to work harder. We push each other to reach fitness goals we never thought possible. We share recipes. We share “are you f*ing kidding me?” looks when the instructor yells “20 more burpees!”. We see each other at the gym and then choose to hangout with each other outside the gym.
Walking in those doors a year ago was truly one of the best decisions I’ve made and I’m so happy that I’m still doing it 6 days a week! Congrats to Jason, Bret, Danny, and the rest of the instructors, coaches, and members on one year of hard work, laughs, and lots and lots of sweat! (HA!)
