FXB: Week 2
Two weeks down, eight to go!
Workouts:
Workouts went well and I still enjoyed them just as much as I did the first week. I have to say I kind of hit a wall during Friday’s kickboxing workout. My hands and feet were just so sore! Definitely not used to the beating they are taking on the bags! I’m sure this will get better over time, and in the meantime, I just have to make sure I’m keeping up proper form. I went up a level or two on the resistance bands and I continued to give 100% to each workout.
Nutrition:
The good – during the workweek, I did great job following the nutrition plan. I had a spinach and protein smoothie every afternoon, something I will probably continue doing. I also found a night time snack that I’m liking a lot – plain Greek yogurt, chocolate PB2, and stevia. The bad – I slacked on the water intake. I just wasn’t paying attention, especially towards the end of the week and on the weekend. And, I’m not gonna lie, I pretty much fell off the bandwagon last night during the Superbowl. Saturday was my actual free day (which I took full advantage of), but I thoroughly enjoyed some unhealthy eats last night as well. Um…whoops?
Goals for Week 3:
- 1 free day. Not 1.5 ![]()
- 80oz of water every day!

This wknd was a disaster. I’m tracking my food intake closer nowdays in hopes of shedding just a couple of pounds before my half marathon. And seeing what I did/ate/drank actually all written out was eye opening… ugh.

Haha, saw you loaded up on the veggies yesterday, though
Ugh I am with you on the whole water thing. In the winter, I have no desire to drink water because I feel like I am never thirsty (that and my caffeine consumption takes place of the water consumption). I gotto start filling up my water bottles before work so I know I need to drink more water.

Plus I just want warm beverages like coffee during the winter.
It’s hard for me to drink enough water thourghout the day too, but I always keep track of my intake and I usually get enough!

As long as I’m mindful of it throughout the day, I do ok!
Sounds like you’re doing pretty well. I’m sure you can make up for the Superbowl this week. Water is hard to drink in the huge, recommended quantities- I definitely find that out. I love Water and could easily drink all of it, I guess I just get tired of having to leave my desk to head to the restroom and thus when I have a huge meeting coming up, I’ll try not to take in a lot of water, etc.
I bet your hands got tired from the workout! I imagine that would be hard. But great job for giving it 100% and rising to meet the challenge.

I have zero excuse, I work from home and my bathroom is literally 10 feet away! But I would think it would get super annoying in an office having to go all the time!
Don’t beat yourself up over your eating… the Superbowl is a once a year event! I really need to up my water intake. I find myself waking up really thirsty. I hate drinking a lot right before bed because I don’t want to wake up to pee:)

Ha, I hear ya. I’d like to continue drinking water into the evening, but yeah, I’d be up half the night!
